Hey, Talitha here!

I am a Perth-based Naturopath who LOVES helping people break free from chronic ill health. I like to think differently, dig deeply, and treat people holistically.

Having been through my own health struggles, I know how frustrating and complicated it can all feel! I believe that it is important that you understand what's going on for you and what you can do about it. A key goal of mine is to make things as practical and realistic for you as I possibly can.

I listen. I help you dig deep. We put the big picture together while also teasing out the smaller details of your health journey. From here, I create a personalised plan for you using a natural, effective, and sustainable approach. I am degree-qualified and I do have experience in a wide range of presentations (read what my clients say). If you’re wondering if I would be the right practitioner for you, don’t hesitate! WHY I BECAME A NATUROPATH…

In my mid-teen years, I struggled with fatigue, brain fog, hormonal imbalances, mood swings and gut issues. I tried to pretend that I was OK, but I knew that I was not! Eventually, my mum took me to see a doctor who turned out to be incredibly helpful and thorough. While she gave me medical options, she encouraged me to change my lifestyle and diet. (At the time, I did not know that naturopaths even existed, much less that you could study to become one!) But I began to change my own health story through nutrition, herbal medicine, and exercise.

Through my own journey, I developed a keen interest in health and wellbeing. Towards the end of high school, I was considering every health role available, but without making a definite decision. I knew that whatever I did, it was going to be health-related. I knew that I loved helping people, loved listening to people, and that I had a passion for real answers over "band-aid" approaches. Then I met a naturopath, and I was so intrigued! I finally decided that naturopathy was where I was meant to start.

Coming from a fully "homeschooled" background, I was slightly nervous about studying, but I soon realised that I had an awesome foundation as an independent learner and critical thinker. I have a curious mind and I am driven to learn by a desire to help people.

WHEN I AM NOT CONSULTING

I absolutely love being outdoors and go for spontaneous (and not-so-spontaneous) hikes on an almost weekly basis. Typically, it is just a few hours' adventure, but longer hikes are definitely a thing too! One of my favourite experiences has been completing the Tsitsikama Hike in South Africa, a seven-day hike with stunning views, exquisite waterfalls, and beautiful mountains.

I am also a pianist, and I taught piano whilst completing my Naturopathy degree. Although I barely advertised, word quickly got around, and I had more students than I could handle. I enjoy playing and improvising to wind down and "tell stories without words". I play a range of music, including classical, jazz, hymns, and contemporary.

Having a creative flare, I love cooking, and my goal is to bring practicality, nutrition, and deliciousness into synergy, but I definitely get teased for making things " too healthy". It's inevitable when you're a naturopath, right?
